Description
A practical workspace for digital photography
Photographers in Ireland often work with a mixture of personal projects, client assignments, event photography and outdoor images. Keeping those files organised while maintaining consistent editing quality can become a challenge as a photo collection grows. Corel AfterShot Pro 3 combines RAW image processing with photo management, helping you spend less time sorting files and more time working on the photographs themselves.
One of its useful features is direct folder-based organisation. You can browse, view, sort and rate photographs without first importing everything into a separate catalogue. Star ratings, colour labels and flags make it easier to distinguish selected images from photographs that still need attention. This approach is particularly useful when working with several existing folders or moving between different photography projects.
Preserve originals while editing
Corel AfterShot Pro 3 uses non-destructive editing, so your adjustments do not permanently overwrite the original photograph. You can work through different editing decisions while retaining the source image. The application also supports batch editing, covering anything from a single photograph to thousands of images.
Presets provide a convenient way to repeat familiar adjustments across a collection. The Image Preset Library contains presets from Corel and the AfterShot community, helping you automate recurring jobs and maintain a consistent appearance when preparing groups of photographs for a particular project.
Useful corrections and finishing options
Overexposed photographs can benefit from Highlight Recovery. Its Highlight Recovery Range slider gives you control when attempting to regain detail in bright areas. Blemish Remover offers circle, brush, polygon and freehand tools for dealing with dust, spots and smudges.
For photographers preparing images for clients or sharing work online, watermarking is another useful option. Add a logo or contact details to one image or an entire batch. You can adjust the watermark's size, rotation, position and transparency. Additional plug-ins extend the application with functions including shadows, text, grain and sharpening.
Camera formats and lens support
JPG and TIFF are supported alongside RAW files from most major camera makers. The supported extensions include ARW, CR2, CRW, DCR, DNG, MRW, NEF, NRW, ORF, PEF, RAW, RW2, RWL and SR2. Lens corrections can be extended through the Lens Correction Updater, which adds corrections from Corel and the AfterShot community. Users can also create and share their own corrections.
