Description
Bring traditional painting to your screen
Looking for digital painting software that offers more than standard drawing tools? Corel Painter 2023 gives artists in the United Kingdom a versatile workspace for illustration, concept development, comics, manga and fine art. Its extensive collection of realistic brushes, papers and textures helps recreate the character of traditional artistic techniques on a computer. Whether you work with a pen tablet at home, prepare artwork for a creative project or explore digital painting alongside photography, Painter provides a wide range of tools without a recurring subscription.
Explore the Fluid Paint collection
The 2023 edition introduces Fluid Paint brush technology. It produces smooth strokes with gradual opacity build-up while retaining visible paper grain. There are two new brush categories to explore. Fluid Build and Sculpt supports illustration, storyboarding, comics and manga. Fluid Paint and Blend offers a traditional painting feel for illustrators, fine artists and photo artists. The release also includes 25 ready-made Fluid Paint brushes.
Additional improvements include Paint Opacity controls in the property bar, 15 new Fluid Papers and Color Selection brushes with a dedicated control. The redesigned Selection panel offers overlay mode and presets. You can adjust the opacity threshold for Marquee selections and feather selections up to 2000 px. Dropper and Paint Bucket retain their previous settings, while Center on Layer provides an additional option when placing images. GPU, CPU and NEON acceleration support Fluid Paint performance.
Your digital art toolkit
Corel Painter 2023 includes hundreds of artist-created brushes alongside libraries of gradients, images, looks, nozzles, papers, selections, textures and weaves. Blending tools help combine colours and create varied surface effects. Work with a mouse or a compatible pen tablet from manufacturers such as Wacom, Xencelabs and Huion. When transferring files between Photoshop and Painter, the software preserves file content.
