Buy ABBYY Screenshot Reader for Windows in Malta

Description

Make screen content work for you

Whether you are preparing paperwork in a Maltese office, studying for a course or handling records for a small business, useful information is not always available as editable text. It may appear inside a PDF, a presentation slide, a website, an image or a file menu. Re-typing the same material takes time and can introduce errors. ABBYY Screenshot Reader provides a practical way to capture the relevant part of your Windows screen and turn its contents into something you can edit or reuse.

This compact ABBYY utility uses optical character recognition (OCR) to identify text and tables in a selected screen area. It is intended for office staff, students and anyone who regularly transfers information between documents and applications.

Capture and convert

Choose the part of the display you need by marking an area with your mouse. The source can be a web page, PDF document, presentation, picture or file menu. You then decide whether to keep it as an image or extract its contents.

• Text extraction: Send recognised text straight to an application that is already open, or save it as DOC, RTF, TXT or ODT. You can also open the result directly in Microsoft Word.
• Table recognition: Convert tables shown in pictures into editable Excel worksheets. Output formats include XLS and CSV, with direct opening in Microsoft Excel when Excel is installed.
• Image capture: Save the selected screen area as JPEG, PNG or BMP. Alternatively, copy the screenshot to the clipboard and insert it into another document.

ABBYY OCR supports more than 180 recognition languages. Dictionary support is available for more than 40 languages. The main interface keeps the process straightforward: select the capture area, choose the output format and proceed. You can also configure the utility to start automatically with Windows.
